Conflicts of Interest
To ensure transparency and ethical standards in research and publication, the Kirkuk Journal of Science adopts the Conflict-of-Interest Code announced by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to identify and manage potential biases that may affect the integrity of research findings and to maintain the trust and credibility of the scientific community.
Application to Editors
Editors and the editorial board are required to maintain the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript by not sharing, reproducing, or employing any part of the manuscript for their personal, organizational, or commercial gains. Additionally, they are required to disclose any conflict of interest that may or may not affect their editorial decision or lead to a biased judgment.
Application to Reviewers
Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of all the research materials and throughout the evaluation and review process. Their evaluation must be based entirely on the scientific and academic standards announced by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and they must disclose any competing interest that may arise.
Application to Authors
Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest, whether personal, financial, or nonfinancial, that may arise when submitting their manuscript. Accordingly, the editorial board will then explicitly declare the conflict of interest within the accepted manuscript, or they may reject it.
