SUBMISSION OF PAPER

Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal website submission system to the Editorial Office. Kirkuk Journal of Science Website: www.uokirkuk.edu.iq/kujss. (Author Guide for electronic submission)

 where the Mandatory files in the submission are:

1- Title (of the manuscript).

2- Main Manuscript file (without author's name).

3- Copyright Transfer Agreement ((Click to Download).

 

MANUSCRIPTS PREPARATION

1-   Page Layout

The manuscript needs to be typed using MS-Word on one side of A4 paper (Right margin =2.5 cm, left margin =2.5 cm and 2 cm for the top and bottom) with 1.5 line spacing and all the page must be numbered. The used font is Simplified Arabic for Arabic articles and Times New Roman for English articles.

2-   Paper Title

The title must be as short as possible and indicates the contents of the subject with font size 18B (B=Bold).

 

3-   Author’s Name and Affiliation.

The author’s name and affiliation must be very clear with font size 12. The address should be sequenced: Department, College, University or Institute, City, Country and E-mail.

4-   Abstract

An abstract should be expressive the purpose of the study; basic procedures; main findings its novelty; discussions and the principal conclusions. No more than 250 words with font size 12.

Note: An Arabic abstract (optional for non-Arabic language speakers) required for papers written in English and vice versa.

5-   Keywords

3-5 keywords should be supplied following the English and Arabic abstract and to be separated by semi-colon (;) with font size 12. 

6-   Introduction

Describes briefly the background of the investigation with updated information and states the aim of the study with font size 12.

7-   Theory or Experiment

It is necessary to include an explanation of the methodology used in the research, whether it is theoretical or experimental, or both separately. Font size is 12.

8-   Results and Discussion

Present the results and their significance clearly, and should be discussed and analyzed scientifically according to the published results and data.

 

9-   Conclusions

A conclusion is an important part of the paper; it provides closure for the reader while reminding the reader of the contents and importance of the paper.

10-  Acknowledgements

The researcher may extend thanks to all who helped him to complete the research, individuals, groups and institutions.

11-  Figures

  • Should be embedded within the article immediately after the paragraph of mentioning and the caption is at the bottom of the figure.
  • Must be of high resolution, grouped parts, and their dimensions do not exceed the margins of the page.
  • The word "Figure" in English is abbreviated as "Fig. 1"

12-  Table

  • Should be embedded within the article immediately after the paragraph of mentioning and the caption is at the top of the Table.
  • Tables must be printed, clear and their dimensions do not exceed the margins of the page.
  • In English written as Table 1.

 

13-  Equation

The equations should be written in the Equation Editor of MS-Word or Math Type, and need to be numbered sequentially.

14-  Units

The units must be in the English according to the following standard format,

15-  References

The References to literature should be numbered in brackets [Bold] consecutively in the text in according to Vancouver style.

Note: Arabic references must be translated into English. Write (in Arabic) at the end of the reference.

 

PUBLICATION FEES 

The Kirkuk Journal of Science (Kirkuk J. Sci.) is an Open Access journal, publishing an article in this journal requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) that will be billed to the submitting author following acceptance. There are no other fees (for example article submission charges, additional pages charges, or color figures charges). The publication cost for an accepted manuscript is 100000 Iraqi Dinars, payable to the Kirkuk Journal of Science, College of Science, University of Kirkuk, Kirkuk, Iraq. The publication cost will be waived for those unable to send it from other countries. The financial support of the Kirkuk J. Sci. is provided only by the University of Kirkuk and Author Fees.
